QUALIFICATIONS OBJECTIVES

This Level 4 Diploma offers an introductory foundation into the academic principles of Applied Psychology and the core practice of Counselling Skills. The course focuses on bridging key psychological theories with practical, ethical communication skills essential for helping professions. Learners will explore major psychological approaches to human behaviour and develop the foundational knowledge and self-awareness required to support individuals in various personal and professional contexts..  

The aim of this qualification is to :

Integrate Theory and Practice: Provide a solid understanding of fundamental psychological concepts (e.g., developmental, social) and integrate them with practical helping skills.

Develop Core Counselling Skills: Equip learners with essential, ethically-grounded listening, empathy, and communication techniques to establish effective therapeutic relationships.

Foster Self-Awareness: Encourage deep self-reflection and personal development, which is critical for working ethically and effectively with others.
