QUALIFICATIONS OBJECTIVES
This Level 3 Diploma provides a foundational introduction to the theories and key stages of Child Psychology, combined with essential Counselling Skills used to support children and young people. The course focuses on normal child development, understanding behavioural and emotional challenges, and applying ethical communication techniques in a supportive context. It is designed for beginners seeking an entry point into working with children.
The aim of this qualification is to :
- Introduce Child Development: Provide learners with knowledge of the cognitive, social, and emotional milestones of children from infancy through adolescence.
- Develop Basic Support Skills: Equip students with foundational communication and counselling skills suitable for supporting children and families.
