QUALIFICATIONS OBJECTIVES
The Level 3 Diploma in Special Needs Education is a teaching qualification which has a teaching and training practice requirement.
The objective of this special needs education qualification for beginners is to equip aspiring educators with foundational knowledge and skills necessary to support the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities or special educational requirements. This program emphasizes an understanding of various disabilities, inclusive teaching strategies, and personalized support techniques that promote accessibility and engagement in the learning environment. The aim of this qualification is to enable learners:
Learn in-depth about special education needs (SEN) and the importance of it to the society.
Understand the types of special educational needs.
Different ways used by schools to provide provision for special education needs.
Learn about the different theories and style of special needs education.
Gain an insight into SEN support and role of SENCO in SEN support.
Gain an understanding of the role of SENCO, the importance of SENCO and how to deal with other agencies.
